In this demonstration Chris will show the basic process of how to paint a simple night scene of the local neighbourhood, discussing the colour palette he uses and his particular approach.
As he uses the indirect method he will have a painting ready to go ahead with the second stage so that he can demonstrate both the first and second stages of the process.
Chris loves to paint the landscape as well as other subjects in oils and acrylics. His style of painting is contemporary realism influenced by classical painters and by recent impressionists.
Visitors are welcome to join with the Castle Hill Art Society at Castle Glen Community Centre, 157 Ridgecrop Drive, Castle Hill.
