Janelle Hatherly will give a talk and demonstration on two useful techniques for simplifying the process of painting portraits in oils: the limited palette using only four colours as created by Anders Zorn, and the Asaro Head: a useful 3D model for understanding overall planes of the head and the effects of light on faces.
